Nick Thurman grew up in Weatherford, OK and later attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University where he played for the varsity men’s basketball team and was a member of the Student Government’s Supreme Court.
Upon graduation from SWOSU, Nick attended Oklahoma City University School of Law, graduating in 2015. Nick was a member and served as student representative and treasurer for the Military, International and National Security Law Association and became a member of the Oklahoma Bar in September of 2015.
Nick has served in various prosecution offices including Oklahoma County, Canadian County, Atoka County and Honolulu, HI as well as some Oklahoma civil firms.
While serving the State of Oklahoma, Nick focused on criminal cases such as felony murders, embezzlement and narcotic cases led by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation as well as county civil matters and family law cases.
Nick’s experience in the District Attorney’s office has given him a strong courtroom presence and an ability to articulate his position in a forceful yet respectful way. Nick’s focus on dealing with victims of crimes has allowed Nick to be able to converse with clients in a way that is both understanding of the issue and directive of the best possible legal strategy.
Nick and his wife, Hannah, reside in Yukon, Oklahoma with their daughter Faye, and their dog Lolli. Together, they enjoy hiking and camping as well as traveling.
