Chris represents individuals and businesses in business and estate planning and civil and family law matters. Chris Smith provides personal, business and estate planning counsel for individuals and businesses of various sizes and product offerings throughout Oklahoma, Texas, and the Western United States. Chris’ business law practice includes oil and gas servicing companies, retail and restaurant owners, online education providers, and much more in between. His practice emphasizes digital media outlets and marketing agencies in privacy and regulatory compliance, as well as emerging technologies and start ups. His practice includes both general counsel and litigation services as well as family law matters.
Chris Smith devotes time to discussing practice management and work-life issues with attorneys. In 2015 he presented at the South By Southwest Interactive event in Austin, Texas. His session, “Lessons in Life and Work Learned Living in My Office” highlighted Chris’ experience developing a multi-state law office from scratch, and the ways work and life are endlessly interwoven and how to balance the two in a healthy and productive manner. Chris is passionate about the efficient operation of a law office, and he loves working with attorneys on practice management issues that impact small and solo firms through his company Superius Ventures, and his involvement with Firmhacker. Chris is also a Co-Founder in the online legal services platform Golo Legal.
Chris, and his wife Marissa, reside in Edmond, Oklahoma with their son Christopher, and their dog Rue, where they enjoy being active in church and various community activities.
